We welcome all Old Girls to join us for the Girls in Gaming eSports Tournament on Saturday June 1.
Hosted by St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School, the tournament is a free day of gaming and competition across multiple gaming platforms and stations. There will be up to 150 students gaming throughout the venue, across games such as League of Legends, Valorant, Minecraft Capture the Flag, plus a Nintendo chill centre. The day is all about celebrating students’ passion for gaming, all things tech and IT, as well as brining awareness to the viability of this industry as a career path.
All Old Girls are welcome to attend and spectate. Additionally, there will be an Inspiration Station, where students will be able to network with professionals from all areas of the digital industry, learning about employment prospects and opportunities. Our school partner, Yabbr, will also be part of the Inspiration Station.
It would be fantastic to have as many Old Girls as possible as part of our Inspiration Station. Here, you will be able to empower future industry leaders and demonstrate the depths and breadth of a career in the digital industry. We welcome as many different panellists from as many different career areas as possible.
If you are interested in being part of the Inspiration Station, please contact Lizzie Fowler via LFowler002@stmargarets.qld.edu.au to register your interest. This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with St Margaret’s, meet current students and contribute to the evolving community of eSports and gaming in Brisbane schools.
