St Margaret’s Mysteries - Where Did This Come From?

Well, it was, indeed, a big surprise recently when we found this helmet. It has been around for some time, and it looks like the real thing – it is certainly heavy enough.

Did it belong to a soldier? Did a family member have it as part of their collection and it was then used as a prop in one of our many drama productions? Someone must know. If you can shine any light on this true mystery, please contact the Archive Centre!

Stories from our Sisters

I have the honour and privilege of being not only the St Margaret’s archivist but also archivist to our Sisters. Many Old Girls will have had first-hand experience with many of the Sisters as they moved through the school. I would love to hear from you if you have any stories about any of the sisters. It would be fitting to include any anecdotes into the SSA files. Examples might include music lessons with Sister Hope, speech and Drama lessons with Sister Phillipa, academic lessons with Sister Jean-Marie or leadership sessions with Sister Mary – to name just a few.

If you would like to share a “sisterly” story, please email me.
