2025 will be the 130th year of St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School, and one of much celebration for the legacy of the Sisters of the Society of the Sacred Advent and what this looks like today.
It is most fitting that in 2025, Community House will be reopened to students as a wellbeing centre for students. 102 years separate the images of Communnity House below, attesting to its recent transformation in alignment with the philosophy of the SSA.
Once the heart of St Margaret’s, this cherised building has been thoughtfully and beautifully restored to a place where the school will continue to focus on its unwavering nurture of students, both in heart and mind. The SSA was built upon the idea of the holistic education of the whole child, and Community House is now the most fitting realisation of this philosophy.
In 2025, St Margaret’s will be led by School Captains Charlotte Swarbrick and Ebony Okonkwo. You can learn about their own journeys at St Margaret’s and their plans for 2025 here: https://www.stmargarets.qld.edu.au/discover-st-margarets/news/meet-the-2025-school-captains
A brief promo reel was created to celebrate our 130th Year, highlighting the connection between past and present and the school’s wonderful legacy on which we can build an equally inspiring future: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1125777398923885
