2025 Reunion Weekend Recap

Despite the rain on Saturday afternoon, it was a wonderful weekend across Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July celebrating Reunion Weekend.

We had over 500 Old Girls return to campus to celebrate their milestone reunions, Old Girls’ Day, and our very special VIP 60+ Lunch on Sunday. It was a weekend full of memories, reminiscing, and celebration.

The weekend commenced with the 60 Year Milestone Reunion lunch in M’s Café, a feature of campus that not many of our attendees had seen prior. From 2pm, we were joined by members of all other milestone reunions who toured the campus with our current Year 11 and 12 students before heading to their reunion venues equipped with music from their years at school, delicious food and wonderful photo displays courtesy of School Archivist Mary Surtees.

On Sunday, we held the Old Girls’ Day Chapel Service and Morning Tea, a favourite event in the Old Girls’ calendar each year. Following this, the festivities concluded with the annual VIP 60+ Lunch, celebrating our special Old Girls and welcoming the latest graduates into the VIP cohort, the Class of 1964.

Thank you to the team of volunteers and our reunion coordinators who, as always, do a fabulous job reconnecting with their cohorts and making this weekend so special. We would also like to thank every Old Girl who generously donated to St Margaret’s Foundation Building Fund or Panama (Bursary) Fund with the purchase of their ticket, collectively raising $6,158. Thank you for supporting the school.

Next year, we will host milestone reunions for the Classes of 2016, 2006, 1996, 1986, 1976 and 1966. As always, our VIP 60+ Luncheon will take place on the Sunday of Reunion Weekend. Dates for next year have yet to be announced, but please keep an eye out for news about our 2026 Reunion Weekend.

While we do our best to describe in words the feeling of joy for so many of our Old Girls coming together for the first time in a long time, this is best captured in photos. You can view the Reunion Weekend gallery via the following link: https://paststudents.stmargarets.qld.edu.au/galleries
