It is a privilege to be able to connect with so many alumni from a multitude of cohorts and industries via the St Margaret’s Plus Mentoring Program, and even more of a privilege to see alumni connecting with Year 12 students. This year, 59 Year 12 students participated in the program, being paired with 51 Old Girls. This program, and the creation of intergenerational connections between Old Girls, is what makes the St Margaret’s alumni community so special.
Thank you to the following Old Girls who participated this year. Your participation and dedication to the newly graduated Year 12s has equipped them with the confidence and conviction to enter the next stage of their lives.
It was wonderful to be joined by so many Mentors at the Aspiring Young Women’s Network Breakfasts throughout 2025, which gave students the opportunity to meet their Mentor in person and thank them for all their time and guidance.
I look forward to the continuous growth of the program in 2026. If any Old Girls are interested in becoming Mentors, please email me at Mentoring@stmargarets.qld.edu.au. I am currently looking for Mentors in the following fields: psychology; marine biology; midwifery; finance; criminology; forensics; and psychology. Any and all Old Girls are welcome to sign up to the St Margaret’s Plus Mentoring Program.
