Old Girls' Association Newsletter |
Welcome to 2025 and yet another exciting year for St Margaret’s and the Old Girls’ Association. I am delighted to take on the role of President of the OGA and work alongside the Committee, Old Girls and the wider school community.
My love of St Margaret’s began when I started as a student in Year 5. I am excited to share that the new Vice President of the Old Girls’ Association, Lucy Angelini (’94), started with me in the same year. We have been friends since kindergarten and have both loved our shared experiences as St Margaret’s girls and Old Girls.
I would like to sincerely thank Nicole Devlin (’90) for her leadership and tremendous service to the Old Girls’ Association over the past seven years. Under Nicole’s leadership, the Old Girls’ Association flourished into an even more connected group, both to each other and to the school. We congratulate Nicole on her appointment to Deputy Principal of St Margaret’s, and thank her for continuing to serve on the Committee.
I would like to formally introduce the Executive and the Committee for 2025:
2025 Executive

Vice President – Lucy Angelini (’94)
Secretary – Lizzie Fowler (’19)
Treasurer – Sally Thomson (’77)
2025 Committee
Committee member – Nicole Devlin (’90)
Committee member – Norma Tucker (’66)
Committee member – Lilly Devlin (’18)
Committee member – Jacky Garnsworthy (’68)

Committee member – Maggie Wu (’16)
2025 promises to be yet another exciting year for our Old Girl community. The Committee will be present once again at this year’s Open Day on Saturday 8 March, and we welcome any Old Girls who may be visiting to come and say hello.
Wednesday 26 March promises to be a wonderful celebration of our Old Girls with the annual Past Student Awards Dinner. We encourage all Old Girls to come and celebrate the 2025 award winners and their amazing achievements.
Reunion Weekend will fall on 26-27 July this year, including milestone reunions, Old Girls’ Day and our VIP Luncheon for graduates from the years 1964 and prior. This weekend is always one filled with celebration, reminiscing and joy, and we can’t wait to welcome back all those celebrating their reunions.
In this first edition of the newsletter for 2025, we have much to celebrate. We warmly welcome our newest Old Girls, the Class of 2024, as well as celebrate their wonderful ATAR achievements. From this cohort, we congratulate Annie Kidd (’24), the 2024 Old Girls’ Prize recipient, and learn all about her plans for this year and beyond. We celebrate the winners of the 2025 Past Student Awards, as well as the creative talents of Akari Komoto (’21), who has composed, written and orchestrated her own original musical, Tales of a Love Story. We hear from Emily Sellens (’00), who competed in the 2024 Sydney to Hobart Race, as well as celebrate the achievements and lives of Old Girls in our Class Notes sections. Of course, there are plenty of updates from St Margaret’s within, and many exciting events to look forward to.
I hope to see many of you throughout our events and celebrations in 2025. If you would like to join the Old Girls’ Committee or volunteer at any of our events, please contact us.
