From the OGA President - OGA eNews Issue 3, 2026

2026 continues to be a very busy year for both St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School and our alumni community.

Giving Day was held in May, and what a wonderful success it was – thank you to each and every Old Girl who donated, no matter the size of the donation. Your support of the school continues to help ensure that each and every girl has every opportunity to thrive within a St Margaret’s education, whether that be through the support of the Panama Fund (Bursaries) or the Building Fund. I know that there are many Old Girls who are thrilled by the latest building campaign, the Performing Arts Precinct, and we all eagerly await updates with construction having just commenced.

Across 25-26 July, Reunion Weekend hosted over 500 Old Girls who returned to campus to celebrate, reminisce and reconnect. It was an amazing weekend hosting the Classes of ’16, ’06, ’96, ’86, ’76, and ’66, as well as our VIP graduates from the Class of 1965 and prior. I hope you all had a fabulous reunion and will eagerly be back for your next reunion in ten years’ time – or for our VIPs, your annual luncheon!

The Old Girls’ Association Committee will have its Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Thank You Celebration on Tuesday 3 November 2026. We welcome any and all Old Girls to join us in person or online to hear from the committee, as well as Principal Ros Curtis AM, and to consider joining our committee for the exciting year ahead that 2027 promises to be.

Don’t forget to submit your nominations for the 2027 Past Student Awards to celebrate fellow Old Girls. Nominations close Tuesday 13 April 2027 at 5pm (AEST). Details on how to nominate can be found within the newsletter.
