| Old Girls' Association Newsletter |
The Old Girls’ Association is supported by a strong Executive and Committee who work to support key events such as Open Day, the Past Student Awards Dinner, Reunion Weekend and Speech Night via the historic Old Girls’ Prize. As always in the first edition of any new year, I would like to introduce the Old Girls’ Association Executive and Committee for 2026:
2026 Executive
2026 Committee
I would like to personally welcome the newest members of the St Margaret’s alumni community, the Class of 2025. I hope that you are all excited and prepared for your life beyond the school gates, but please don’t be a stranger – we still hope to see you at events, engaging with the newsletter and keeping us updated on all your milestones and achievements beyond St Margaret’s.
This year, we will once again celebrate three incredible Old Girls at the Past Student Awards Dinner, a favourite event in our alumni calendar. I would like to congratulate the following as the 2026 Past Student Award winners: Professor Catherine Greenhill (’87) – Distinguished Past Student, Natalie Charlton (’12) – Young Past Student of Distinction, and Maggie James (’97) – recipient of the Spirit of Service Past Student Award. Please join us on Wednesday 25 March 2026 to celebrate these incredible women. Further details can be found within this newsletter.
On the last weekend of July, we will be celebrating Reunion Weekend, kicking off the festivities at St Margaret’s Day on Friday 24 July. Saturday 25 July will see our milestone reunion groups – the Classes of 2016, 2006, 1996, 1986, 1976 and 1966 – return to campus to celebrate with their peers, reminisce about their school days and tour the changing landscape of the school grounds. On Sunday, Old Girls from any graduating cohort are welcome to join us to celebrate the Old Girls’ Day Chapel Service and Morning Tea. Our VIP Old Girls from the Class of 1965 and prior will have their special, exclusive luncheon following the morning tea. Reunion Weekend is a favourite of mine, as I have the pleasure of learning of so many stories of the school’s history, personal accounts of what has changed, what have become cherished memories, and how amazed Old Girls are at how the school continues to develop.
I hope to see and meet many of you across our 2026 events. For now, please enjoy the first edition of the OGA Newsletter for 2026, full of details about our wonderful Past Student Award winners, an introduction to the 2025 Old Girls’ Prize winner, and updates from the school.
